Patterson on the Drug Issue
If you have raised children in Okaloosa County you know we have a drug problem. You've seen the effect that it has on the victims; if not your own children, then the children of your friends or even the friends of your own children. These are the victims. Our target will be the criminals. Those who provide these materials and distribute them to our children are the focus of our law enforcement efforts. Drug free is a good environment for business and family.
Okaloosa County is changing. The Sheriff's office will have to adapt. The county is about to accommodate the decisions of the Base Realignment Committee [BRAC] which will bring a large number of new families to our neighborhood.
Support is our road to success. The supporting petition signatures that have put me on the ballot came from a very diverse cross section of the population of Okaloosa County who have decided that they wanted me to run for sheriff.
